The harvest represents not only the fruit of our labors, but also the seed of our hope.
We have a harvest because we labored to plant the seeds of our future in the hope that God would send the rain and provide the sun in just the right proportions that we might gather in due time.
And we only have seed to plant because of yesteryear’s harvest.
The harvest is a symbol of the Lord’s victory and mercy upon our life; he sent “sun” and “rain” in just the right proportions to bring about a harvest of righteousness in our hearts, and so from that harvest of righteousness the Lord brings for seed to sow for the future Kingdom harvests.
There is no harvest unless the seed endures the season.
The LORD is the hope that gives Christians the courage and strength to endure all things:
Psalm 31:24 Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart, All you who hope in the LORD.
Thanksgiving comes as the Lord’s work in our lives begins to bear fruit, and our hope in the LORD sees us through with the strength of perseverance to rejoice in the harvest!
We are always experiencing the fruits of the Lord’s work in our life as the Holy Spirit causes us to overflow with love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.
1st Peter 1:3-5 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to obtain an inheritance which is imperishable and undefiled and will not fade away, reserve in heaven for you, who are protected by the power of God through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.
By the seed of Christ’s blood we have been born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Christ! Therefore, because Christ lives, we have an inheritance in the everlasting kingdom of God.
What an amazing and powerful thanksgiving!
Psalm 71:14 “I will hope continually, and will praise you yet more and more”
We can hope continually, in all things, and praise the Lord still more and more!
Romans 15:13 Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Be filled with hope and thanksgiving, my blessed brethren!
